For fans of the late Robert B. Parker, his "Jesse Stone" novels, and the television series with Tom Selleck, the final TV movie, Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost, will air on CBS on Sunday night, May 22nd at 9:00PM (Correction--this won't be the final Jesse Stone movie--Tom Selleck is working on a scrip for a new one). It's been a long wait. I think it was actually made well over a year ago, maybe even two, and yet it's only now appearing on television for the first time.
For the fans of the novels, I have to say that Tom Selleck captures the character and personality of Jesse Stone perfectly. The series has been well acted by the all the regulars over the last five-to-six years, and I've always found each TV movie to be highly entertaining and thought provoking. I own all the previous movies on DVD. I'm also somewhat anxious to find out what will happen to Jesse and his police staff. Jesse was unemployed during the last movie. I thank Tom Selleck for making this series such a hit and for all the hard work he and his cast and crew have put into it.
