Devil Red by Joe R. Lansdale

When I went through the box from Amazon once I got inside my apartment yesterday after work, I found Joe Lansdale's Devil Red in it, buried beneath some other items. Well, I couldn't wait to read it and put Salem's Lot aside for a few days. I read 75 pages in Devil Red last night and another fifteen at lunch today. Never have I laughed so hard at the banter between Hap Collins and Leonard Pine. No other writer makes me laugh like Joe does, but the poop is getting ready to hit the fan because Hap has just personally encountered a victim of Devil Red and realizes that the killer now knows about him. No one is safe from Devil Red and both Hap and Leonard are going to having their hands full trying to take him down. I'm heading to my apartment now to open a box of Vanilla wafers and a can of Dr. Pepper. Have to something to eat and drink when reading a Hap/Leonard novel. You know a new Hap/Leonard book is just like Christmas to me, but more so this time around because there was Hyenas last week and Devil Red this week. Hoooahhh!
